Another wonderful stay from start to finish at this fantastic hotel.
I stayed in room 444, a superior sea view room which had a fabulous view.
The room was huge and the bathroom had a jacuzzi bath and separate shower.
Complimentary tea, coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits are provided. Robes, slippers a hairdryer and fan are also provided.
They no longer provide bottled water but, there is a water fountain on floors 1 & 3.
Breakfast was superb as was food in the brasserie.
As always , staff were all attentive, friendly and professional.
I look forward to another visit soon.
Thank you.

Fabulous hotel, decor is beautiful. Had afternoon tea, which was very nice, only thing was I asked for a coffee refill which took so long to come I'd finished eating. No butter provided for cheese scones either. Room was lovely, with a seaview, breakfast was good.

We recently came to Tynemouth for a family Christening and stayed for a few nights at the Grand Hotel bed and breakfast. What a lovely find this hotel was. The Hotel is well named with nicely decorated lovely rooms and an amazing staircase. Our rooms were very comfortable, clean and well maintained with wonderful sea views. We sat and watched the brave swimmers in the sea each morning before going to breakfast which was very tasty. It had a good selection of buffet items, fruit, yogurt, juices, cereals etc and a varied and extensive menu for the cooked breakfast which was well cooked (excellent poached eggs) to order with good produce. We also ate one evening in the Brasserie restaurant, again a good menu and the food was delicious. As a Coeliac I require gluten free and I was well catered for and all the staff were knowledgeable and helpful. With regard to the staff, ALL of those we encountered were friendly, efficient and welcoming. Would we recommend, yes. Will we come back in the future, yes.
