This is an old hotel it had character.
We stayed for 2 nights.
It is in a good location across the road from the beach and plenty of bars,restaurants,and a few shops.
We managed to get a car space outside the front of the hotel.
We chose a sea front room at the front on level 3 room was nice no mode cons room was hot.
There was a fan in the room.
We had window open no aircon, no fridge.
There was a kettle and hairdryer.
There was a water station on our landing.
Breakfast was excellent good choice there was continental,cooked to order breakfast as well.
Staff were ok

Thank you SO much to the wonderful staff for a wonderful stay at The Grand. Special thanks to receptionist Helen, so helpful and who very kindly upgraded us for our second night. We loved our seaview room and going to sleep to the sound of the sea. Also special thanks to lovely 'smiling' Marnie who served us at breakfast each morning. Marnie was a true delight, so friendly and efficient. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. A great selection of cooked dishes, made to order and served to your table.
The hotel itself is a beautiful grade II listed building with THE most marvellous sweeping staircase. The hotel truely meets its name!
We look forward to a return visit.
